Linnea Morgen

Linnea Morgen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a Bachelor of Science in Broad Field Social Studies, with an emphasis in Psychology. Passionate about equitable access to education and addressing systems of inequality, Linnea set out to empower students to achieve their goals.  As a high school social studies teacher, however, she immediately felt limitations to addressing the full needs of her students. Inspired by her own experiences with poverty and trauma, Linnea understood the barriers created by generational family cycles. This motivated her to find better opportunities to help individuals thrive, not merely survive. After leaving the classroom, she focused on roles that would enable her to provide holistic approaches to working with families and youth. With this effort, she discovered the power of community and support networks that connect individuals to the resources needed to foster wellness and self-sufficiency.

As a mother and the daughter of a single-mother student, Linnea has a profound respect and connection to Raise The Barr's mission. She full-heartedly believes that a 2Gen approach inspires change that will have an exponential impact on current and future generations. She is dedicated to breaking barriers and turning dreams into reality.
