Meet Katie, a Minnesota-based mother of four and 2023 UNW graduate. Katie describes herself as a social butterfly, and she enjoys playing volleyball and scrapbooking when she has time. Over the past four years, our targeted aid has kept Katie on track to obtain a bachelors in Business Management this year while working full-time as an accounting clerk.
“I wouldn’t be where I am now without the continuous support I receive from [the] Raise The Barr scholarship team, committee, sponsors, and donors, to be able to graduate,” shared Katie. “RTB’s programming was incredibly beneficial to my college experience and your emergency grant helped when my furnace went out unexpectedly a couple years ago. It is working like a charm now."
We are thrilled to share that Katie has graduated this spring with a B.S. in business management, which brings her one step closer to her dream of one day opening her own accounting firm. We look forward to watching her children apply their inherited tenacity towards their own dreams.
